Passion, Potential and Purpose
Introducing Hunter Wilson, musician and motivational speaker widely known as King Cass and his very powerful multimedia show The Awakening from Dark to Light.
Hunter will take the audience on his own personal journey of trauma, living with ADHD, overcoming drug induced psychosis, working through mental health issues and how music and determination saved his life.
This is an interactive show to energise and empower people of all ages and cultures, by breaking down barriers to normalise the topic of mental health, hauora/wellbeing and addiction.
Hunter delivers this show through acting, song, educational models, Te Whare Tapa Whā, visuals and humour. He does this professionally and all from a place of aroha/love.
The Awakening from Dark to Light is approx 80 minutes in length, followed by a 20-30 minute question and answer component.
Hunter is now several years into his personal journey and has become a qualified youth worker. His motivation to deliver The Awakening from Dark to Light is driven by a genuine passion to make a positive impact within our communities.

How far in advance can I make a booking?
Hunter’s calendar can fill up quite quickly. We do suggest at least 4 weeks notice, but we can accomodate the best we can to see Hunter attend your event if it is last minute.

what topics do you speak on?
The Awakening multimedia show can be tailored to suit your audience, topic, theme or kaupapa.
By identifying the type of audience you have it is easier to choose a topic .
A full shows is around 80 minutes which includes a panel of professions with an audience Q&A session.
A tailored show could be anywhere between 15 – 45 minutes, with or without the panel.

what events do you present at?
Hunter has been traveling New Zealand attending various events including small intimate settings with 10 people right through to music festival infront of thousands. There are no barriers on numbers.
The Awakening has seen huge impact on events such as youth justice facilities, workplace toolbox talks, schools, well-being festivals, community lead events., confrences and corporate events.
Are these events confidential?
The Awakening events are open to the public via registration, we encourage honesty and curiousity but your stories shared will be within an audience setting.
We trust that the right support and resources will be available to you during and after an event if you require confidential support.

how old do you have to be to attend?
The Awakening events are suitable for audiences 7 years and up.
Its the content that is the barrier for younger audiences, the show can be lengthy so little people may not hold their attention as well as others.
